Nine to five. Every day. No exceptions, no love, no severance package shaped like affection. We are a fictitious corporation with a very real org chart, and you are currently on it.

Excerpt from the Employee Handbook, page 1
Welcome. You will arrive at 9:00 AM. You will leave at 5:00 PM, theoretically. In between, you belong to us in the way a stapler belongs to a desk — present, useful, replaceable without ceremony. We do not offer inspiration. We offer a paycheck and a lanyard. Please do not lose the lanyard.

Nickname: Unpacked Horizon
This is Timo. Our longest-serving Employee, and — per the plaque we had engraved — 'genuinely passionate about his work.' He arrives before the coffee machine finishes its cycle and stays until the lanyard says otherwise. Somewhere between quarterly reviews we've caught whispers of sunsets, subscriber counts, and a life measured in time zones instead of time clocks. We've chosen not to look into it further.
Recurring daydream, logged by HR: a laptop, a hammock, and wifi strong enough to file a timesheet from somewhere with a coastline. Filed under: pending, indefinitely.
To keep the vision moving forward, you can do more than clock in — you can wear it. Every hoodie, tee, and beanie we sell goes straight back into optimizing the one thing that matters: employee output. Windows get covered. Daylight gets rerouted. Coffee breaks get reconsidered. All so everyone on our org chart can focus on exactly one thing.
Company policy, printed on the inside tag: meet the minimum of what you were hired to do. Then a little more. That's the whole system.
